Sunday 1st November 2009, congratulations to Mohammed Fator for achieving being Saj Properties Division One Bowler of the Year in the Cricket League in London, England, Gujarati Metropolitan Cricket League. He has broken the record of being the highest wicket taker in the Division One history of 46 Wickets, 108 overs, 19 Maidens, 361 runs given. The young pace man best figures were 5 wickets for 25 runs.
On the night of the GMCL Annual function, he was called on stage to collect his award & was presented by Former Pakistan fast Bowler Mohammed Akram, which was a really honourable memory in Mohammed Fator.
I asked him how it felt to be named Saj Properties Division One Bowler of the Year 2009 & what went in his mind when the award he won was being presented by Mohammed Akram.
Mohammed Fator said “I was expecting the award as I saw on the GMCL website being the highest wicket taker, it’s already an honour to get the award but being presented by a former Pakistan International Fast Bowler, it was a great feeling, it is something I didn’t expect at all, I really have to thank my team mates who supported me throughout the season, I have to thank Sarfraz Boriyawala for his excellent captaincy & guidance, I also like to thank Sajid Boriyawala for being a good coach & also a great Manager of the Club”.
What’s stored for Mohammed Fator next season, he will challenge himself in playing in the Premier Division and playing for the 1st XI of Leytonstone Youth Cricket Club. |
